OBJECTIVES AND BRIEF NARRATIVE OF CRUISE
First cruise of project ADRICOSM, included the Vieste-Split transect (NRL project),
the Pomo transect (LTER project) and the monitoring of two ENI methane extraction platform (ENI project).
The scientific work started with the transect Brindisi-Durres (15 CTD and 89 samples).
The ship entered in Durres harbour to bring on board albanian and montenegro scientific crew:
Bledar Murtaj, Emirjeta Adhami, Shytaj Raslind from Albania,
Zoran Kljajic, Vesna Macic, Dina Dragovic from Montenegro and
Manuela Mulargia from Italy.
Aleksandar Jovicic from Montenegro was on board in a little stop in Bar harbour during the cruise.
Then the 5 transect of Drin Gulf are done(30 CTD and 141 samples), after the ship entered in
Bar harbour again (6 november) in order to deploy foreing crew and Mulargia.
On the 8 and 9 november Vieste-Split transect (9 CTD 60 samples) and Pomo transect (4 CTD) were carried out.
On the 9 and 10 "Clara Est" and "Naide" site were monitored (8 CTD 32 samples each).
In beetewn the two sites, Marini was deployed in Ancona.
The SBE19plus CTD was used instead the usual SBE911plus, which was lost in September, and
the second 911plus was sent to be used in the antarctic cruise.
All the casts were limited to 210 meters depth, due to the sea cable length.

The italian scientific crew was: Marini, Grilli, Campanelli and Caccamo.

Separate entries should be made for each distinct amd coherent set of measurements of samples. Different modes of data collection (e.g. vertical profiles as opposed to underway measurement) should be clearly distinguished,as shouldmeasurements/sampling techniques that imply distinctly different accuracy's or spatial/temporalresolution. Thus, for example, separate entries would be created for i) XBT drops, ii) water bottle stations, iii) CTD casts, iv) towed CTD, v) towed undulating CTD profiler, vi) surface water intake measurements, etc.
Each data set entry should start on a new line - it's description may extend over several lines if necessary.
