Potential Temperature VS Salinity Diagram

The densest water (endpoint A in Figure 21, with sigma=29.20), with high oxygen concentrations, low temperature and salinity is the NAdDW, and is visible at the south-western edge of the sections shown in Figures 17,18,19 and 20. Endpoint B is the warm, fresh and oxygenated surface water (same figures as above), while C is a warm and salty, less oxygenated intrusion from the south (MLIW or ISW). The main mixing lines connect the three endpoints, along the diapycnal and isopycnal lines shown in Figure 21.
